Emily Harp is a fifth grade math and science teacher at Team Success. She has her Professional Educator’s Certificate in Elementary Education and ESOL Endorsement. She was born in the “Thumb” of Michigan, and attended Central Michigan University, one of the most prestigece teaching schools in the country. Over the past 7 years with the school, she has taught 4th and 5th grade math, 5th grade science, been the Intermediate Team Leader, is a part of the Team Success Committee, and volunteers her time in the book fair each year. She was a part of the Team Success team to bring our school from an F to an A in two years, and she is very proud to say that she has only worked at Team Success; this is her home.
Mrs. Harp thrives on having class that is well managed, and does so through constant, and consistent positive behavior rewards. She teaches bell to bell, with no time wasted in between, and her students know her high expectations, as she is preparing them for not only their 5th grade graduation, 5th grade Math and Science State Mandated Tests, but their Middle School Years. If you have ever had a student with Mrs. Harp, you know she has a “No Excuse” policy, and that she values homework and extra practice outside the classroom. She gets through each day, “teaching like her hair is on fire” and with the motto, “teachers who love teaching, teach children to love learning.”
